10/11/2016 The attractiveness of Belgian products for optimizing mobility continues to grow

The Wallonia Exports Grand Prix is a biennial competition that rewards businesses that have helped to promote Walloon quality and know-how abroad by increasing their export volumes or getting into tough markets.

The jury of export specialists chooses the most deserving exporters based on three performance criteria assessed over the past three business years, namely: the candidate's performance trends in figures, the company's international dynamism, and the company's dynamism on the domestic market.

Market-IP has received one of the six prizes, that of the 'Tremplin à l’exportation' (export springboard), which is awarded to a Walloon business that meets all the criteria for a winner except for the export level, which is below the 70% threshold generally required.

On 30 June 2016 our export turnover stood at 44%.

Alongside all these initiatives and marketing actions directed at partner assistance, we set up a quality approach to formalize practices, consolidate know-how, and above all make the most of our team members' expertise so as to boost the value of our solutions. We got ISO 9001-2008 certification at the end of 2014.

All these achievements show Market-IP's export dynamism and the attractiveness of its products outside Belgium, an attractiveness that continues to grow.

Market-IP's sales philosophy is to distribute its solutions through a network of partner integrators. This indirect sales channel leverages Market-IP's growth through licences and produces results. "Given our strategy, our export levels in the years to come will definitely remain steady. They will not fall, on the contrary!"

23/03/2015 Crompton International chooses Belgian technology to make Qatar’s roads safer

Market-IP and Qitico (Qatar International Trading & Investment Co.), a Qatari company specialized in business services, are proud to announce officially, on the occasion of the Economic Mission under HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, the signing of a contract with the construction company Crompton International  to equip the latter’s more than 150 vehicles and heavy machinery with a fleet management solution.

The Telefleet software application developed by Market-IP will first of all enable Crompton International to have a clear view of the use and locations of the 150 vehicles and machines in its fleet.

What is more, the innovative solution combines a telematic box installed in the vehicle with Web-based analytical software that will make it possible to score driving from the standpoints of safety (Safety score) and fuel consumption (Eco Score).

Through this step Crompton International shows its commitment to

  • improving safety on Qatar’s roads.  In addition to fleet management, the company is thus going to keep track of its drivers’ driving behavior to reduce the risk of accidents and help them adopt a responsible attitude behind the wheel.
  • controlling the fuel consumption and thus greenhouse gas emissions of its vehicles, thereby proving its concern for the environment.

This contract makes Crompton the first Qatari company to show concern for road safety and to inspire its personnel to be responsible, environmentally friendly, economical  drivers.

23/03/2015 Market-IP takes advantage of the Economic Mission to organize a conference on the advantages of telematics for Qatar

Qitico (Qatar International Trading & Investment), a Qatari company specialized in business services, and Market-IP are taking advantage of the Economic Mission under HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium to hold a conference, “The Challenges of Telematics Solutions in Qatar or How to Improve Company Fleet Management”.

Qitico, which has been a Telefleet integrator since 2014, has found that Qatari companies are just discovering the advantages of telematics and as yet are unaware of their true strengths.  Taking advantage of the presence of Arnaud Storder, Market-IP’s CEO, and Romain Olieslager, the company’s Middle East Partner Account Manager, Qitico is gathering Qatar’s major companies in one venue to show them the great added value of using a geolocation application to track vehicles, but also to present its underlying advantages, i.e., improved fleet security and road safety, control over and improvements in productivity, better services for clients, and many other benefits that will give each company a real return on its investment.

This conference will enable businesses to get a jump on their future needs.  At the same time it will enable Qitico to consolidate its strategy and positioning in Qatar as a distributor of B2B telematic solutions.

02/03/2015 The economic mission conducted in Qatar and United Arab Emirates

Market-IP is part of the economic mission conducted in Qatar and United Arab Emirates and presided over by HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium.

Market-IP has been present in GCC for the last 4 years. The success of the local partnership led our strategy to emphasize on the GCC markets development. Indeed, the GCC markets are very dynamic, following a constant rapid yearly growth. In addition, even if several actors are present, nobody managed to take a leading position on the region which gives great development forecast.

The objective of Market-IP is new partnerships in the Gulf region during the year 2015!

20/03/2014 Market-IP technologies for ensuring the safety of Omani schoolchildren

Road safety must be a priority overall for a transportation company. Oman National Transportation Company understood it well! Yesterday, taking advantage of the economic mission, they demonstrate their desire to be a first mover company by signing an agreement in order to revolutionize the road safety, overall for the school buses. Indeed, with our local integrator Expert Software, we will equip ONTC school buses in order to improve the security of the pupils on their way to school. Thanks to this solution, the driving behavior will be controlled and improved and the parents will be notified by SMS about bus pick-up and drop-off.

20/03/2014 A new agreement to minimize the road fatalities in Oman

Market-IP has signed an agreement on a research program, together with its Oman historical partner Expert Software and Sultan Qaboos University.

This will help the 3 partners to develop a specific device dedicated to the improvement of public safety, by providing real time overspeed management notification to the drivers, helping them to adapt their speed.

Should the driver continue to speed, superior instances can be notified of this.

The system being developed will provide a positive impact on the road accidents in Oman , and then participate to the actions of the government, in particular the Royal Oman Police, to minimize the road fatalities.

18/03/2014 How Belgian high-tech ensures the security of ATM machines

Market-IP and SmartI, a Saudi Arabian IT company have taken the opportunity of the Belgian Economic Mission to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding in order to work hand in hand at securing the ATM machines of the Kingdom.

In order to make money available at many places for the customers, banks are installing ATM everywhere: shopping malls, gas station, airports… These cash dispensers are daily refilled with plenty of bank notes, which is very attractive for thieves. The biggest issue for the banks is to make sure these machines are safe. SmartI and Market-IP have developed a solution in order to allow banks to locate the machines as soon as possible in case of theft. Indeed, every machine will be equipped with a system allowing to identify it in real time. When a machine is stolen an alert is automatically sent to the security service of the bank. Thanks to this system, the police can immediately track the thieves and catch them!

03/12/2013 Market-IP entered for the Walloon Prize for Quality

Why did we enter for the Walloon Prize for Quality?

We entered for the Walloon Prize for Quality in April 2013, when our ISO process was in its infancy. We felt the dispassionate views of the assessors working for Mouvement Wallon pour la Qualité (MWQ) would be a perfect complement to our own development, through the feedback report and the opportunities for improvement.

So being nominated was not our sole aim in entering for the Prize. Our entry gave credibility to our Quality Initiative from our stakeholders’ point of view and created a focus for our staff’s motivation. Those are two key factors in our view.

Excellence is one of our values, and we aim to cultivate that idea of Excellence in our day-to-day management. Standardising our processes is the only way to manage Market-IP’s growth and develop relations with our integrator partners.

Some results of the Quality Initiative so far:

  • A new Customer Care department has been created, enabling us to fully meet our partners’ expectations in terms of flexibility and response time
  • Sales and Pre-sales processes for direct selling have been set up
  • Management has been improved by forming a Board of Management and organising internal meetings
  • Our staff’s culture of Excellence has been further developed
  • Change is now managed flexibly through, in particular, nonconformity management

10/05/2012 Two awards for Arnaud Storder in just a few months: an Alfer and the title of Namur Manager of the Year!

2012 is a prize-winning year for Arnaud Storder.  Just a few months after being named Namur Manager of the Year for 2011, Arnaud has received an Alfer in the “innovative enterprise” category.

The Alfers, which were named after a 17th-century military flag game, are economic awards conferred by the Province of Namur and its economic office (“BEP”) on Walloon companies for their success and economic good practices.  Winning the Alfer can be seen as recognition of Arnaud’s efforts to position Market-IP as a leader in the development of technological solutions for mobility, without forgetting the values that these solutions embody, i.e., ecology, green marketing, simpler administration, and dematerialization, for even better quality.

    Bravo, Arnaud!
